PG Narayanan is the founder and CEO of SmiForce Inc. PG has more than 25 years of experience and his extensive experience includes senior-level management positions in R&D, Product Marketing, Marketing Communications, Channel Development, Operations, Manufacturing, and Customer Service. He was the Assistant Commissioner for the Office of Enterprise Technology, State of Minnesota. He was the primary driver for many IT transformations and innovations at the State for the last 5 years. PG was the CEO of Allot Communications Inc (www.allot.com). He was in charge of leading Allot activity in the United States and Latin America, including business development, sales, marketing, and customer services. Under PG’s leadership, the company’s revenue grew from $1M to $25M. Prior to joining Allot, PG was the Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at ADC (Tyco), a Fortune 500 company. PG led the IP and R&D strategy for ADC, performed more than 100 due diligences, and had a leading role in M&A activities. PG was the president of Osicom’sNetworking division and prior to Osicom, he was the VP and GM of Cray Communications, Inc. PG is a Board member and was the President of the India Association of Minnesota, and also, he is currently the Commissioner of the Human Rights and Diversity Commission for the City of Eden Prairie.

Don is a seasoned sales-oriented executive with a strong track record of P&L responsibility in small to mid size technology companies. He has over 25 years of extensive experience in general management, sales, channel development, and marketing. His career achievements include a successful start-up, turnaround and several business restructuring. Don joined Miles 33 International in 1984 to spearhead the introduction of Miles 33’s commercial publishing products to the US market, where he built and managed the start-up team and personally handled direct sales during start-up phase resulting in $8 million of revenue in three years. After 8 years with the company, he left to work with several technology ventures, including Cray Communications , Netilla Networks (subsequently sold to AEP Networks), and Samson InfoTech (where Don conceived a strategy to partner with major mid-market accounting software companies, leading to the creation of an indirect sales channel of 250 resellers.) Don returned to Miles 33 in 2004 to lead the introduction of Mile 33’s newspaper and new media products to the US; today, as Senior Vice President, Don is responsible for Sales in North and South America.
Derek Peterson is an accomplished public relations, marketing and business development executive with 25 years experience in B2B and B2C technology sectors. Based in Minneapolis, Derek is CEO and co-founder of Skyya, a boutique PR and strategic communications agency, leading the agency’s strategic direction while providing tactical and strategic account leadership for Skyya clients. With a background that includes 15 years in executive-level corporate roles across the technology landscape, Derek is highly experienced in developing and successfully launching new technologies, new companies and new products. His history includes senior sales, marketing, product development and IT roles with Sprint/Nextel, Onvoy, Allot Communications, and numerous technology startups. Derek has spent much of the last 12 years in senior public relations and marketing agency roles helping launch and grow more than 100 pioneering high-tech companies. Derek’s technology expertise spans telecom, networking, IT services, enterprise- and cloud-based software, network management, mobile services, e-commerce, security and an array of other IP-based technologies. He is highly experienced in branding, product management, business development, investor relations and corporate strategy.
Mr. Kandanchatha, an MBA graduate of the University of Ottawa, has over 15-years experience in C-level sales, product marketing, and sales management. He is a serial entrepreneur who has mentored, led, or exited 13 companies, scaled revenues to 8 figures, and sold a company for over $200 million. His professional expertiseled him to be award as one of Canada’s Top 40 under 40. Presently, he Managing Director for Macadamian Technologies, one of Canada’s hottest product consultancy agencies. With this he brings his knowledge of driving revenue and stewarding annual growth rates to the firm.
Bill Tomczyk is a SPC Member and he was Director of System Support and Storage for the Office of Enterprise Technology, State of Minnesota, for the past eleven years. Prior to the most current twenty years of experience at the State of Minnesota, he worked for eight years as Program Manager for IBM Projects Systems and Facilities at Control Data Corporation. In the Control Data position, he developed business plans and road maps for four facilities: Disk Manufacturing, Benefit Services, Network, and Disk Development. Bill has more than forty years of experience in management and leadership with positions in the discipline areas of applications development, operations, facilities, system software, software purchasing, management control and procedures, and IT tools. He has provided measurement and analysis of IT functions and activities so that enhancements and efficiencies can be identified and evaluated. Focusing on the specific objectives and goals for the organization, he provides options and implementation strategies for the success of the business plan. Bill has been a member of various IT user groups during his career including IBM and CA software utilities and tools groups. He is certified at ITIL V3 Foundations, Operational Support and Analysis ITIL V3.
Brahma Dathan is a Technical Advisor for SmiForce and an Associate Professor in and the Chairman of the Department of Information and Computer Sciences at Metropolitan State University. He teaches courses and conducts research in Distributed Systems, Object-Oriented Systems, and Database Systems. Before joining Metropolitan State University, he was on the faculty at the University of Wyoming and Saint Cloud State University. Professor Dathan received the B.Sc.(Engg.) degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the University of Kerala, India, the M.Tech. degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Dathan has to his credit approximately 25 refereed journal and conference papers that have been published in reputed forums such as the IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering, the ACM SIGCSE Conference, and the IEEE International Conference on Distributed Computing Systems. He is also the coauthor of a textbook on object-oriented analysis and design, which has been adopted as a textbook at the graduate level in several universities. He is also a member of the ACM and IEEE. He serves as an academic program evaluator for the Computing Accreditation Board of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology. Prior to joining academia, Dr. Dathan was in the corporate world working for a well-known computer consultancy firm and was engaged in projects for several companies such as Burroughs, Exon, American Express, and the New Zealand Post Office. He serves as an advisor to SmiForce Inc. Besides his professional activities, Dr. Dathan has served on the Board of India Music Society of Minnesota and is on the Board of India Association of Minnesota.
